McCain/Palin '08--Respect for the Female Might

Mccain_palinOh my goodness and it is getting hot now political fans! This just in! Arizona Senator John McCain has in fact chosen Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to be his running mate!!! hahaahahahahaaha! Oh yes. I will be making a nice donation to the old man today. I suggest the rest of you do the same. He can only receive donations until the 31st of this month--so another two more days after today. Don't delay!

Obama and Dean and Brazile thought it okay to disrespect us, well let's show them a thing or two!

Now, I had hoped McCain would pick Carly Fiorina, but I've been told on more than one occasion that Palin is up to the task and I'm starting to believe it. What will the Obamazoids say now? How will they spin this? It will give me such sweet joy to see Joe Biden part his lips and say the sexist things that he will no doubt say to Palin during their debate. After he's done, we PUMAs will be so fired up, wild horses Obamatrons won't be able to hold us back!!!

Gird yourselves boys and girls. The strong-arm tactics from the Obama thugs will only increase in the coming weeks. They will poke and prod and push and shove, so be on the alert. Here's some more on Palin--your next Vice President of the United States of America. Check out Luther Vandross's "It's Over Now" here and shake your asses PUMAs because it is OVER for BHO! They treated us so bad, but it's over! --SUGAR

If the Obama camp says Palin is too inexperienced to be on the ticket, that will be so ridiculous since Obama is less experienced that Palin! The sexism will get ugly no doubt. But McCain will defend her and while doing that, will be defending all of us women. Dems are in a no-win situation if they trash her as being a woman or inexperienced. Good for John McCain!!!

Hahaha. I am also laughing my ass off this morning. McCain just negated any attention Obama would've received from his speech last night. Oh booy. My GAWD, Obama was dumb enough to pass over Clinton for VP. Looks like he needs her now more than ever. McCain would never be so dumb to pick a blowhard like Biden over a capable woman like Hillary. Obama just lost the election. GAME OVER.

The democrats now look like dinosaurs.

Sugar, when I woke up this morning and heard about this, I hollered! John McCain ain't no joke.

I was wondering what your thoughts were on the Palin pick.

I thought you were a Hillary supporter, but I guess part of the Hillary support was because she is a woman?

I'm sure that other women will appreciate him picking a woman. Although I would have preferred Condi or Fiorini.

I think the argument about experience has died completely. McCain certainly can't use it. Can he?

haha! It is O-V-E-R!!

Hey c2a! :) I hope you are doing well. PART of the reason I was supporting Hillary is because I thought it would be great for a woman to have a turn leading the nation, but that wasn't the only reason. As for the experiene argument--McCain can MOST DEFINITELY use it. Why wouldn't they be able to? She's not running for president, Obama is. And if she has more experience than him as the Governor with the highest approval rating in the nation, a history of fighting corruption among her own party members, why would she be considered less experienced than Obama?

This election is over. Put the lid on it.

But... But... But Sugar, Pahlin is inexperienced. She has been governor (executive) only for 2 years, and doesn't know foreign affairs.

Bill Burton, "Today, John McCain put the former mayor of a town of 9,000 with zero foreign policy experience a heartbeat away from the presidency." You get the joke?

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Sugar...Hey! I'm finally in and getting settled (just got internet & TV yesterday)! Had my first class last night, interesting!

I don't know if it's over, but the Changeling is definitely in for a long, hard couple of months! McCain's pick of Palin was genius I think! An effective attempt at neutering, uh, I mean neutralizing the Obama/Biden ticket! What better, more progressive way to make the Dems look like the total misogynists they are AND shake up the conservatives in his own party! After the way they treated Hill, the Changeling better get a party-wide memo out right now and tell his crazy supporters to cut out those sexist rants or he'll be in deep shit come November!

Sonya...Hey girl! I hollered too! Ain't it grand that for all the "change" Obama promised to bring, it was McCain that brought about real change for women in this country? Too funny!

c2a...I agree with Sugar on the experience thing. At least she has actually had experience in running a city and a state - neither of which Obama has had and he's running for president of the damn country??!!

Barry didn't take PUMA power seriously, McCain did. Brilliant and gratifying! There is a candidate who can achieve unity, but it isn't Obama. Palin, as a mother of a child with Down's syndrome, intensifies the infanticide issue.

Well, well, well, things have certainly gotten more interesting in what was shaping up to be a snoozefest of epic proportions. I still don't like any of 'em enough to put on shoes and go pull a lever for them, but at least I won't sleep through the whole thing like I was planning to.

I laughed and cried when I got the news! This is such a brilliant move on so many levels. O'Biden is toast. And I loved the press conference. Palin showed more class than Obama will ever have when she talked about Gerry and Hillary and how they paved the way for women.

The dems have shat all over women this year, and McCain is out there campaigning his heart out letting us know that we are important and a critical constituency worth wooing. I'm liking the maverick more and more.

When I first heard the Palin choice I felt even sadder that Hillary was not chosen to be our chief leader. But, as I sat here consoling myself, it dawned on me that Puma movement had made this possible. No one would even thought twice about putting a woman on the ticket if all of us had not protested the way Hillary was treated. It goes to show how powerful our voices have been. Sorry the dems. didn't listen, but at least, the falling tree in the forest was heard.

Deb, This has been an election of senators. None of them have executive experience. Its pretty frightening that Palin, has the most executive experience of everyone. Barely two years and in the small state of Alaska.

BO supporters are in more of a frenzy than usual but they better hold their fire because John McCain is not going to let them get away with sliming Palin.

And thank you, Cindy McCain. I give you a lot of the credit for this great move.

As for qualifications, Palin has more real-life experience to meet that test than any on the Dim ticket. Someone might wanna tell the rabble that governing should not be reduced to who is better at waging war. How about we talk about the economy which covers most facets of our lives?

What a difference a day makes.

Thank you for the link to Luther V. I listened to him a lot, especially during some difficult times in my life and L-O-V-E him.

So far, the dems have trashed women who were HRC supporters; trashed POWs; and now are trashing a woman for having a child with Down's Syndrome. ("How can she serve as VP")

Meanwhile O has spent millions and millions on spectacle and self-display that could have been used for health care, vets benefits, etc. I think the Dems are beyond indecent, self-serving and hypocritical.

I am definitely voting McCain/Palin in Nov.

Thanks for warning us that time was running out for donating to McCain. This is the first time I have ever made a donation to a Republican, and it didn't hurt as much as I expected it to. I love the choice of Palin; I had made up my mind to vote for McCain when it became obvious the fix was in for Obama over Hillary, but this makes me very happy. Quite a contrast between Palin who went after corruption in her own party and Obama who is barely more (or less) than an unindicted co-conpirator in re the Chicago corruption.

Karma is a barracuda.

AnnieEm...You said, "Meanwhile O has spent millions and millions on spectacle and self-display that could have been used for health care, vets benefits, etc. I think the Dems are beyond indecent, self-serving and hypocritical."

Let the Church say, "Amen!" on that one. I was just telling my husband with the approximately $50 million/month Obama raised, coupled with the $100 billion spent on the damn convention, Dems could have made a substantial dent in the world hunger (since we're a global nation and all)! :-) Party of change my ass!

c2a...You're right on both counts! I find it funny though that Burton and the Obama surrogates keep talking about how much experience SHE DOESN'T HAVE when their guy's doesn't even measure up to hers. Too funny! And don't think the Republicans won't ping him on that comparison all day long!

Sugar,

I drifted here from another blog a while ago, but just lurked because I don't usually have much smart to say.

However, this I must say (besides how much I love your commentaries)--it's poetry what happened today!

As Dave Chapelle doing Howard would say..."BEEEEEYYAWWWW"!!!!!!!!!!!!
