Some Sensible Black Men Stand Up to Obama
I couldn't be more proud of the African-American young men who stood up to Barack Obama during one of his ridiculously void of details town hall meetings today in St. Petersburg, Florida. They wanted to know what he plans to do for the African-American community, considering the lack of action he's already taken on a number of issues. Including saying that the ineptitude was color-blind after we all watched in horror as tens of thousands of African Americans were left to fester after Hurricane Katrina. In a country that can get food, water and other necessities around the world in no time flat.
There are two clips below of Obama's face-off with the hecklers and I have to say that by the time I finished the second clip, I was so mad I felt like I could put my fist through my computer monitor. The ease with which Obama lies is uncanny. Especially for someone so new to Washington politics--which was one of his main selling points during the primary election season. That he was new and fresh and different. Check out the two clips and then read on. Ignore the annotations that pop up. These were the best clips I could find. I will try to find annotation free ones later:
In his response to the hecklers Obama responds that he issued a statement about the Sean Bell verdict, but hell any politician could have done that. The young man asked him what did he plan to do in the face of issues like such. First of all, when the Sean Bell verdict was handed down Obama released a statement that was a slap to the face of African-Americans, calling for "non-violence" when nobody had even threatened such. People were angry, but nobody was threatening violence. Even Al Sharpton was pissed with him after that move and Al Sharpton has been suckling on his proverbial penis for months now.
Obama has also stated that he believes that racism is 90% over in this country and that there is no white and black America, but to that I say, he feels that way because he hasn't had to be fully immersed in our existence. I don't begrudge him for having been raised by his white family. Not at all. That would be insane because that's who he is, but I do begrudge the way slips into African-American communities feigning a kinship to our struggle when he knows nothing of it. I wrote a post many months ago about Obama and the Big Mama and Nem Farce. He tries to paint a picture of some poor kid from the ghetto who was raised by his Big Mama when he is nothing of the sort and it's shameful. I'm glad those young men knew better and I'm glad they got in his face. Enough is a fucking nough. He's tricked some black folks and some white folks and some in every other ethnicity in between, but thankfully he hasn't fooled us all.
He stated during an interview on Larry King Live back in 2006:
OBAMA: Well, it certainly makes you think. Look, we live in a celebrity culture and sometimes you get caught in the wave and the buzz and a lot of it's flattering but, you know, one of the things that I try to remind people of is, is that I was in politics as a state senator operating in obscurity for many years.
Before that I was a community organizer working in low income communities in Chicago and nobody knew my name then. And so, having involved myself in public service for a pretty long time without getting too much attention, hopefully I can keep some of the attention that I'm getting now in perspective.
Not only has he not kept things in perspective, he's now so arrogant, he has the gall to deem anyone who calls him arrogant a racist! Let me tell you something white folks. Arrogant is just arrogant. Now, don't start using the word "uppity" or you might find yourselves in a bad situation. But, Barack Obama is most definitely arrogant and don't let him dissuade you from calling him such. I mean damn, John McCain has far more congressional experience than him and he's eons more humble than Obama. Stevie Wonder could see that.
Party Unity, My Ass. --SUGAR

I'm proud of those young men Sugar! This is just the beginning of what The Precious should expect out on the campaign trail! We'll see how he continues to react when he no longer encounters 100% adulation from the adoring masses!
Let the games begin! Jesus! The R.A.M hasn't even geared-up yet!!!

these men were great! I'm glad they had the balls to the questions that need to be asked if you give someone 90% plus of your collective vote

Yes, very impressive. It takes a lot of guts to protest in front of the O-Zombies. Those people don't even think...just boooo and Yes we Can, while Obama stammers and ahh uhhh blahh blahh. (He sounded like he was choking on his tongue at one point.)
Obama did not "control the crowd" enough, he wanted his O-Zombies to gang up on those young men. I don't like that. I've seen Obama use others to attack Hillary in the past and it's like he gets off on it.
Also, I don't know why, but for me, the woman with the long blond hair jumped out to me--how she stood up chanting to shut down the young men protesting. It sort of disgusted me, it's like Be Quiet black people--with your problems, keep that all quiet and go away now. We are all one now, and I am not a racist because I am voting for Obama, and the world is perfect and I am a good person now, so don't ruin my new self-image!
Ya, 'cause Obama the damn FRAUD is here and we are in O-Church now, no blasphemy in O-Church. Only praise allowed in O-Church. Ohh Bahh Mahhh
O-Zombies sniff dissent and attack. ("Dissent" means not throwing your body down at his feet in worship.)
Obviously not every black person thinks Oblow is right for the job. Maybe more black people are noticing that Oblow takes their voices and votes for granted, just like Oblow the FRAUD takes everything for granted, even his "nomination."
I cannot stand him, and I really can't stand the people who back him. grrrr...

Sugar…I’m with you, untilthelastdogdies and Vixen on this one! I’m so damn proud to finally see some young Black people (his supposedly strong base) standing up and questioning his bullshit! And in Florida no less!
I followed the link to his “ineptitude was color-blind” statement and I must admit, I threw up in my mouth – just a little. What a self-serving, politically expedient ass wipe! There were signs, even then, that he was suiting up for his race to the Burning House – we just weren’t paying a-damn-ttention!
His response to the hecklers was condescending at the very least, and dismissive at best. Trying to make them look like unruly, uninformed - well, “Black folks,” was unconscionable, but par for the Obama course.
That he issued a statement about Sean Bell meant absolutely nothing. He was playing to all the bogeymen in the room with his admonitions of “non-violence.” His statement on Jena 6 ONLY came as a result of Michael Baisden, with his crooked, opportunistic ass (see my Michael Baisden labels to see how I really feel), calling all the Democratic candidates for a response! It’s not like Obama stepped up and volunteered a damn thing! However, that Hillary’s campaign hemmed and hawed when called, was definitely a bad move on her part.
Look, I emailed the Michael Baisden Show at the start of his Jena 6 coverage because I thought he should at least be appropriately informed about the details of the case as he stirred my people up on the radio (email available if you need to see it). I informed him of the facts as I’d initially learned them from The Friends of Justice (FOJ), a white, non-profit organization who’d been there long before Al, Jesse, Baisden or the NAACP.
He personally replied and said the show would contact the FOJ to confirm my information and get someone from the organization on the show (again, email available if you need to see it – I don’t throw shit away!). Never happened - instead, homeboy used the information to refine his appeal to the Black community (exposure, = more $$$ = CROOK in my book, I don’t’ care what color you are!) and as it turned out, he and Al - publicity pimp that he is, were more famous for their STAND on the issue! The FOJ was not only ignored, but banned from visiting Michael Bell in jail while they were there! My people, my insecure, damn greedy people! I do have to say that despite the bullshit Rev. Al et al continued to put out about young Black men and women, I was totally in awe of the commitment these younguns brought to Jena table. I was proud, pumped and energized just being around them!
Sugar, you said, “Obama has also stated that he believes that racism is 90% over in this country and that there is no white and black America, but to that I say, he feels that way because he hasn't had to be fully immersed in our existence."
This is THE greatest danger for us. And your conclusion about him here is dead-on! Hell, I should have raised his ass! My boys, now 27 and 24, hated that they had the quintessential “Angry Black Woman” for a mother while they were growing up – not to mention the husband! But it was absolutely important to me that they valued BOTH backgrounds, able to see the disparity between the two.
But once they reached the age of consent, they got it. They were exposed to the reality of Black life, looking more like me than their father. They experienced the profiling, the inequity in treatment when they did shit as opposed to their white friends. They saw white people act like their Black mother wasn’t there while looking through me to their white father at a counter saying, “Sir, can I help you?” They experienced being almost taken in by white cops as they took a break from their white (Italian) cousins to have a smoke outside a white joint in upstate New York with a drink in their hands - until the officer realized that they were the sons of “Gene’s nephew.” Trust me, the preferential treatment was welcomed, but not lost on them. Obama’s Mominem (NOLA style) farce will not stand much longer.
Sugar…Please, please, please!!! I got the link from YOU on Obama’s not-for-real-community-organizing (more like “let me set these ignant Black folks up to use them later”) tactics! All of you offended by my profanity, I beg your forgiveness and indulgence in advance, but this fuckin’ man is a real piece of damn work!!
Winter’s coming, roaches and rats love a nice warm place (based on my own personal, back-in-the-day research) to nest. Do you think Grove Parc will have enough heat so all the creatures, big and small, will be happy and comfortable this winter?? He wants all the damn attention he can get doesn’t he!

untilthelastdogdies, when the R.A.M. cranks up, Obama and his supporters will be running for cover. Trying to stand behind us hoping we'll protect them. I'll have nothing to do with them.
Thanks for the link PaulS. Obama and his ilk will find out what real "ridicule" is shortly.
Vixen, I am so proud of them. Of course, they are being called "plants" by the Ozoids. It's really pitiful that they assume that all AAs just MUST be supporting him and anybody who doesn't is a republican. :(
kat in your hat, you hit the nail on the HEAD! That white lady's body language most assuredly relayed the message you saw. It's so sad what's happening. I'll be glad when this is all over.
Deb, Michael Baisden is a pig and I can't stand him. I stopped listening to his show a while ago when he was pushing Swinging as the most sensible way of life. He most definitely used the Jena 6 situation to line his pockets. I heard he was selling t-shirts and all the like when he went there for that "march". What a phony he is.
We need to start examining Obama's stance on Affirmative Action. Apparently, he had some choice words regarding the policy while at the Urban League meeting the other day. I haven't had time to go back to get all of the details, but I'm willing to bet his supporters are saying he's genius. Dummies.
