Why is Obama Still Paying Smear Fighters?
I had to repost this from a post that was placed here a few short posts ago so that all can stay abreast of the latest in the battle to prove whether this slug is even a U.S. Citizen:
What's really strange to me in light of all of this--the fact that he's slithered his way into this position with the help of various and sundry unsavory individuals and a rogue media--is that it appears the Fight the Smears agents are still on the payroll. They are even showing up at a number of pro-Hillary/McCain blogtalkradio shows in greater numbers than they were before the election. Even more strange is that they aren't really just gloating. It's like they are still out to defend him, which is so bizarre because the election is over. I think that it only stands to reason that those of us who "lost" would continue to scrutinize him, but for these Smear Fighting Agents to still be coming around is kind of like a team of Superbowl winners showing up at the team meeting of the losing side to see if the losers mention anything negative about them. Really, really strange.
Maybe it's because they are still afraid that something will come of this: www.obamacrimes.com. Maybe Obama is still paying them until that whole thing is settled. Feel me? Because something strange is going on. I can't quite put my finger on it, but something is amiss. Be careful out there my friends because strangely, some of them are coming unhinged--again, even though they are the team that won..........
In this latest installment of the Atlah Worldwide video sessions, Pastor Manning hits the nail on the head when he suggests that those who are gloating about the fact that Obama was tossed basketballs by the mainstream media had better be careful because next time, they may not be so pleased with who the media crowns king. I'm mostly here for the Manning videos wich are HILARIOUS. But yes, even when your candidate wins, you still check these blogs out of habit. months of online rhetorical warfare can become adictive, and when we see that you Puma types are still up for the old arguments, we can't help but oblige.
so is Obama guilty until proven innocent on the citizenship thing? That's what they're saying on NQ but I'm totally banned so I can't make fun of them for it.

I’ll have to admit that I was instructed to check out this site because my employee is concerned that Berg’s legal activities might surpass all obstacles and disclose – to be sincere - the whole communist / terrorist / Muslim / corporate conspiracy.
I could prove that but… sorry, I have to provide for my poor family, what else can I do? I don’t know if you can understand me: you don’t know how hard it is for a young, educated woman to find any decent job in a Panjab / India region.
My heart is bleeding but I have to be loyal to my family.

your are proving exactly what Sugar is saying here. Why are you still (being paid? and) going to anti-Obama, pro-Mac and Hill websites and blogs and radio shows when your candidate has already 'won' (through nefarious means, albeit)? Scared something may come out of it? Why so defensive still?

Sugar, I beg to differ: The Corporate Media are not rogue at all; rather, they are obeying their masters, the owners of the media.
A sufficient percentage of the Fat Cat Elite realized that the Cheney/Dubya Assministration, and the Gingrich-Era Congress O' Loons had screwed up the USA six ways from Sunday, so the Fat Cats' GOP brand name was ruined for a while. Hence, they had to turn to their Democratic brand name.
Here, they ran into a snag. Hillary was the Dem frontrunner, and not only did she have icky girl cooties, but worse, she had a mind of her own, just like her hubby. They needed someone to beat her in the primaries, and only Plastic Jesus could fill the bill, because only he could take the bulk of Hill's AA support from her. The fact that PJ was a Chicago machine "made man", used to deferring to hidden superiors, was a nice bonus for the Fat Cats.
So, the Fat Cat Elite ordered the media to push Plastic Jesus Obama onto our lemminglike fellow citizens. No problem, as the owners of the media are members in good standing of the Fat Cat Elite. For the third presidential election in a row, the FCE and their Corporate Media picked the candidate. We haven't had a legitimate prez since Big Dog.

The lawsuits about Bobo's nativity continue, so we can only hope that the truth, whatever it is, will out. Since his election, he's showing himself to be the usual politician instead of any kind of cult leader. If he chooses Hillary--which for all our sakes I hope he does--I wonder how long it will take before the flame of adoration sputters out for Matthews and Olbermann. I wanna be there for the meltdown!

Obama and his supporters are insecure and not very confident, despite their attempts to act like they are messiahs.
Here is why. Brag only goes so far. Next it's time to back up the talk with actions and performance.
However, how can they perform? Think about it. How can a bunch of hippies and a 2 year senator possibly manage a superpower? Especially when it's in turbulent times.
I think the reality has set in on them that all their smack talk must now be backed up, and they're scared they can't do it. Of course they can't.
Also, the reality that they made conflicting promises to various factions of Democrats and independents is about to come home to roost, and the Obamatrons are getting scared by the realization that they bullshitted a lot of people who now expect their due, and it's impossible to give all of them their due since many of them have conflicting interests and were promised conflicting promises and phrophesies.
Whoops. Somebody's mouth wrote a lot of checks that are now due to be cashed. Pretty scared for those who wrote them. Their fear is justified, but it's their own fault. They and Obama will soon be exposed as fraudulent deceivers/players, and possibly even as incompetents.
We'll see. Soon. That scares hell out of them because it's one thing to promise a lot of shit, but it's another thing to deliver on it. It's like a player who's about to get married, and is getting scared and jumpy.
Obama and his supporters are defensive because they're insecure because they know that soon bullshitting the masses won't be enough. Throwing race cards won't be enough either. Soon real actions and actual performance will be needed and they're worried they can't deliver.
They also might be nervous about whether he's really born in the USA and if that will be exposed.
They are scared because now they have to back up all their big talk and bullshit, and they know they're bullshitters at heart. So their fear makes them defensive instead of victorious in their attitudes and behavior.

Well said. Nearly exactly what I said a week or two ago. Obots here must be unemployed to have that much time to heckle others.
Well, perhaps they are unemployed as you and I suspect, or perhaps they are employed by Obama as Sugar suggested. If OB could raise 160 million in one month, he probably has plenty of money to keeps Obots on the payroll.
That shit won't fix the nations problems though, and it won't impress anyone after inauguration day. It will soon be time to pay the piper, and the winners will end up the losers because they can't deliver.

Sugar...I've been thinking the same thing. At first, when they were posting about this at NQ, I said, "This can't come to anything, they would have covered this base before they put him out there!" But it makes no sense that his camp is still on this thing - unless they, in all their strategic wisdom, missed something (like Grandmama Obama sayig she saw him born in Kenya!). Maybe they floated that Hawaiian birth certificate thing thinking the country was so enthralled with him, nobody would look. I don't know. He's not actually president til the Electoral College does their thing in December, if there is something, that could be why the payroll's still beiing funded. We shall see.
Ivory Bill Woodpecker...(you know they saw one of those very rare birds in SC about three years ago?) You, my friend, are absolutely on point here about the media. I just went back to school for Journalism. We just had this discussion in class last night - well I had this discussion - about these social constructs (ethics rules) by which journalists should abide but really mean nothing in the face of power and that almighty dollar. I'm not the class favorite, let me just say! Stupid me, I thought the job of the Fourth Estate was to give voice to the voiceless, be the watchdog for the public and all that other drivel!!!

Deb, I'm old enough to be a realist now, as much or more than an idealist.
Realistically, your job as a student is to make the instructor happy. Full stop.
Do that and you'll get through, get that journalism degree or whatever, and AFTER that you can then start shining the light of truth on things and make a difference.
But first you have to get through. I've been there. Know when to stand up and when to sit down.

I only say that with helpful intent Deb. If you piss off some idealistic, hypocritical, journalism instructor, he/she might try to make sure you don't pass the class or get your degree. Believe it. It happens. The far left will protect their turf and they don't want real journalists.
Sometimes you have to go along to get along, and then pick your battles wisely, when you can make a difference, which is after you have the degree.

So am I - only I am both. My "Stupid me" comment was tongue-in-cheek. Realism and idealism can coexist. A balancing act to be sure, but it can happen. As a matter of fact, I think the conflict within is necessary to get to something really substantive. For example: The media's reverted, IMHO, to the times of "yellow journalism to serve that almighty dollar (the real). I believe the media's job is to tell the truth. The public deserves to have ALL the information, if for nothing else, to stimulate critical thinking and informed decisions (my ideal). I'm back in college after graduating from undergrad 30 years ago because I think I can contribute to the ideal (something substantive).

Before I respond, was that tongue-in-cheek? If it wasn't, then let me tell you - that is not realistic. That's an illusion with which people, who have their own motivations - most of them to do with power, privilege, money and prestige - have come up. And lots of people buy it. Okay by me if its working for them. My job as a student is to learn what I came to learn.

Now here's where your comment gets interesting, but first let me say...I won't be doing that. As a child of Jim Crow, James Crow, Esq. and the Civil Rights movement, I long ago decided not to compromise myself - for anything. "Knowing when to sit down" is a part of the game I know, but that's not me, never has been. So much so my mother and grandmother constantly told me that, "You can catch more flies with honey" thing. I'm not trying to CATCH anything. Oh-h-h it's a lonely place sometimes I assure you, but always comfortable.
Now, what you've just suggested to me sounds eerily like the tack the Bots have been pushing since the Changeling got into, and won, this election. If it's not right for him, why is it right for me? Or anybody for that matter? That is exactly the kind of behavior against which all of us "not-Bots" have been railing (real & ideal cosexisting) to get people engaged enough to see (the substantive). I've been working too hard and too long to rout that kind of hypocrisy out of my life (no offense intended) and I won't be going backward now.

I believe you and thank you for that. My "not the class favorite" was referring to my fellow classmates, most of whom are young enough to be my kids. They're young and eager and haven't really lived long enough for deep reflection I don't think. At 20 - 30 yrs. old, how much money one can make, or getting on TV or being a "respected" pundit tend to be primary motivators. None of that is the case for me. I'm not rich, I just understand the concept of enough. As for the instructor, I don't know if I've pissed her off or not as she HAS been in the business for awhile, (we're around the same age). She may well be either, or both of the type of instructor you described, I don't know her well enough to make that call. As for passing the class, I'm doing alright. Though grades are not how I measure whether I'm learning or not, I've got an "A" with only one more class before the end of the semester. Can't see myself doing too badly. I know it happens, but why it happens is more intriguing.

Deb, I commend you on your actions to go back to school and your commitment to utilize both pragmatism while retaining your ideals.
The latter is something I've been trying to do my whole adult life, and which has gotten a lot of calls of being, looking, acting, or thinking like a Republican. Since when did living life with integrity and consistency mean one is Republican?
And this is what got me researching Obama in the first place. Here I was last winter ready to campaign for whichever Dem won and then I began hearing some of my favorite pundits and journalists throw analytical thought to the wind to support Obama when people were just questioning his credentials.
One of the very first was Randi Rhodes. I liked her because she was one of the few political radio shows who provided documentation and encouraged her readers to actually look things up for themselves. But when listeners began questioning about Obama's record she used his books as documentation! Sadly same thing with Rachel Maddow.
I don't know if it's "Obot thinking" but it definitely is what followers do under totalitarian regimes. Obama himself has never "scared" me, it is what his winning this election represents that causes me to have great pause -- A nearly fanatical devotion to a person because of words and speeches, and the dissolution of the 4th Estate.
Personally, I always thought the press's job was to challenge the status quo. Guess my surprise when Chris Matthews informed me that it was to make sure his preferred politician succeeds.
