Obama Supporters: There is No Balm for Blackness
I hope and pray that my fellow African-Americans will be able to admit that they were errant in their ways once they realize how much of a fraud Barack Hussein Obama really is and how they've been tricked by those phony white folks who support him and who have thrust him forward as a representative of what they think is presentable in the way of a Black man. What I want to know is, how come so many AA's who have loathed the "one drop rule's" history in this country now all of a sudden eagerly apply it to Obama, who is half white, in order to claim him in the face of the reality that he had a chance to become president back in January when the primaries began? How crazy is that? Maybe white folks want to claim him as their own. Maybe they already secretly are and we just don't know it....
Pastor Manning offers his wisdom below. This one right here is the TRUTH! --SUGAR

Amen.
One thing I find most puzzling is the lack of self-respect some Blacks have for their blackness still (as so aptly stated by Rev. Manning), and the steadfast hold of a Christian dominated perspective in their belief system. How can you become empowered when you fundamentally believe that you are a victim. [Of course, this is NOT to even deny the experiences many Blacks have today of discrimination and hatred, which are real. But this isn't always motivated by a hatred of their color.] Even for those white people that practice New Ageism or are spiritualists who believe they should still feel guilty for the traditions of the past. They may believe in a form of reincarnation but don't seem to apply this to the idea that they could have or could reincarnate into a different culture/race. Including Black culture/race. There is just so much disconnect and it was used to confuse the electorate and manipulate them.
Perhaps now since a Black man is president, some of what Rev. Manning says will hit home with the African American community (and other minorities). Neither Barack or Michelle have shown any compassion or desire to help the AA community, which is evidenced in their own histories.
I'm white and female and also part Cree. I don't believe that all acts of hatred toward me are necessarily motivated by my obvious physical traits. But, of course some are.
I just really wonder we are going to be able to get past some of this internalization of disempowerment.

I hope you understand that you should stop your patronizing bullshit toward blakc people because black people choose to support him. he's the president, he's black, and you've done nothing but condone every single racist argument made by right wing republicans so don't play like you have black people's interest at heart. i hope you enjoy rev. "negroes are backwards" manning just like your friends over at white nationalist stormfront.com do. get a life and a man...you need both.

stop patronizing black folk too. Barack is already patronizing them enough.

Did you get a look at MEchelle's new $30,000 plus ring? I wonder if it was paid for by left-over small donor dollars? I never paid anywhere near $600 for earrings! And my rebate check came. Half was taken out because I owed more, even though I sent a check for the extra amount. What was left would buy some really expensive earrings for my tastes, but will go for basic living expenses.

prettystar08, why do you even bother coming onto people's blogs to be all NASTY. If you don't like it here, then don't come here!
Ah yes, and it would figure that you would think someone needs a MAN if they don't support Obama...what sort of logic is this? Stupid sexist.

Sugar, How does one look into the future is looking into the past. To judge ones future potential is to see what s/he has done. The O has a history of...? He acomplished ....? That has helped the community understand who he is...?
Flipping the finger at those he feels he smart enough too. Shows Class? (can you imagine him flipping' it to Putin and the likes on the international level....Ha!)
(I hear that the Tick he has in his rights eye has gotten worse).
A lot of Brown folk vote for the O, b/c of the Clinton and nothing more!
If all of you koolaid drinkers have not figures out that he is not the messiah, nor has the credential to be POTUS.
Then you voted for a Black face in an empty suit with a pretty big ego!
Calling Hillary a....? Then asking her to be your WHAT?! The OBOTS in their histeria were calling the Clintons Racist, old school, a time that has passed!
Flipping everything around to suit his need. Etc...

I find you comments to be extremely sophomoric. Sugar is not the one who allowed a black man that has accomplished nothing in his life and done nothing for anyone but himself to ride a short bus. It was the democratic party that cheated you of the chance to prove that everything whites say about is true. Grow up little girl and takes some responsibility. Now if you want to jump down someone throat I suggest you do it to Sandra Behart, who state that if Palin game to new york she would be raped by black men or how about black "leader" running aorund saying that blacks would riot if obama wasn't given the win. that reduces our race to a bunch of savages ready to attack maime and kill the second we are ticked off. now that you little snit is insulting. get a d@mn clue. they think we are too stupid to do anythign about without their help. Sugar may tolerate people like you, but you have ticked off the one Black female ex dem who will take your bullcrap and sling it back at you. there are many things in life that I hate about myself, but my race is not one of them. when my parents taught me I could be anything i wanted to if I worked hard I believed them. I don't need obama or anyone else to validate the fact African Americans are in every way equal to whites and other minorites in this country.
also i would like to say that one of the big reasons I don't trust obama is because he is not black. His fathers people sold us to his mother's. And once again you have been pimped out. When obama spits in your face, don't be shocked, anyone that would deny an infant basic life support cause it would be "too tramatic for the mother" Or buy a dream house with tainted money from a slum lord while constituents frozed and lived in filth, who allows his own aunt to live in slum" doesn't care about ANYONE. And i'm sick of it. I have standards, and when a poltician does this to anyone, but especially to the less fortunate. They don't get my vote i do n't care what party they belong too. You can vote fore whoever you like but don't get in anyones face with your obvious stupidity or it will not be pleasent.

Chief Editor Korir agrees with all!

PrettyStar, I say this with respect and no unpleasantness intended. Senator Obama is not President until sworn in, and that has not happened yet. So he is not the President. He will be the President in the future, assuming nothing comes of the birth certificate thing.
As for racist stuff, I've not personally ever heard any Republicans I know say anything racist about Obama. All the racist comments I've heard were from white Democrats throwing race cards at white Republicans, and of course I've witnessed a lot of racist things said here by Obama supporters to black Hillary and McCain supporters.
So it seems very hypocritical, and untrue, for you to accuse PUMAs here, or Republicans of being racist.
I'm part white and part Asian, and I prefer the company of Hispanics and African Americans whenever possible. Why? Because they're nicer to me (usually) than white or Asian people. However, I'm accutely aware that every individual is responsible for their own actions and I don't blame white people in general, or Asians either, for the occasional assholic treatment I've receive from a few people in those groups.
Instead, I just look at each person as an individual and just them based on their behavior. i.e. - the content of their character.
As for Obama, I wish people would stop mentioning race and just focus on the facts and his behavior because that offers plenty of relevant material to oppose him.

Obama won - get over it already. I've had my time to gloat, and you've had about a month to mourn, just as I did back in 2004. What we need to do now is push all this stupid partisan bullcrap aside and *work together already*. Our country can't stand much more divisiveness.

Sorry Meg, but this whole election season has left me disillusioned with our political system. It is all about how much money you amass to buy media and popularity, as well as our celebrity-driven (can you say Anna Nicole Smith's baby-daddy, Paris Hilton, Beyonce, etc.) culture!!! Both political parties suck because their agendas are driven by the radical-liberal-left and the reactionary-conservative-right, with those of us in the middle or a little of both getting fucked with no vaseline to ease the pain!!!
That is how I feel about our great American democratic experience. I just pray that the media eventually do what it seems to do best (i.e. eventually turn on Obamessiah and expose him as the fraud he his!!!!)

Chief Editor Korir...I second that emotion!!!
kgirl1028...Brava!! You've said all that needs to be said!!
