I have my gripes about this great nation just like most of us have at some time or another, but I can't think of a single solitary place I'd like to live more. Sure, I love to travel and there are many more places I'd love to visit, but this is where I want to live. Period. So, happy birthday America and God bless those troops who have willingly decided to defend this nation against all enemies, both foreign and domestic.
This year has been crazy, no? Yesterday's announcement from Alaska Governor Sarah Palin absolutely blew my mind. Very gutsy move and just what she'll need to go up against the thuggery of Obama and those bastards pulling his strings. I wonder what the next presidential election is going to look like? A bloodbath comes to mind. @Crys2101 said to me on Twitter.com yesterday that she's hearing that Hillary is not happy at all serving Dear Leader. Who'da thunk it? If she decides to get off of the Titanic's mother, and run again, the next election is going to blow us all away. I told @Crys2101 that Palin made her move now so that she could start training for the big fight, like Rocky vs. Ivan Drago. Obama, like Drago did Apollo Creed, beat up on Hillary mercilessly. Like a big, non-American citizenship having, bully. Palin won't have the things holding her back that Hillary did, so it should be quite a sight to see. I can't wait.
I want Obama to be a bad nightmare. I really do, but he's here. Screwing things up left and right and we have our family and friends who voted for him to thank for it. Some of them are starting to realize the mistake that they made in voting for him, but others are still holding firm. Just can't admit that they were wrong. We'll all have to pay the price for that purchase together and it's just so unfair.
Anyway, I hope you have a great day and I hope you stay safe. Don't allow yourself to get pulled into a silly argument about Maobama during your get togethers today either okay? It's not worth it. I've decided that from now on I'm going to tell my family that I don't want to discuss politics while we are trying to have a nice time together. There'll be plenty time to do that later. --SUGAR

Happy Fourth to you also, Sugar!

Sorry, Sugar, but I live in Seattle and spend a lot of time in Vancouver, Canada. I would happily live there. Wouldn't have to worry about my health care as I get old as so many baby boomers will need to in years to come here. And, surrounded by stupendous natural beauty and one of the great cosmopolitan cities in the world which outstanding food, culture, etc. Yeah - I'd live there. Problem is Canadians aren't really interested in having most of us immigrate!

Am I the only one who is noticing that people rarely mention The One's name (other than media shills)? It is kind of eery.
Axelrod is scripting Obama's teleprompter daily from the West Wing, but something has gone out of the act. It's as if Obama has disappeared as fast as Bush 43 did.

Hey Sugar,
How ya been? Miss Ya on thye radio soooo much! And now on the Blogosphere!
Let me just reassure you that I am still here in the good fight! This Administration is a joke and a very bad one at that! Did you see what biden said today?? He said that they misread the state of the economy!!! They didn't know it was this bad? WTF? How can they say that when they basically said Aramageddon was going to happen if they didn't pass that damn stimulus package!!?!?!?

Maobama? I love that. It's so deliciously correct and funny.
It sounds like you've arrive at the same point of view in discussing politics with family as where I've always been. My dad's side being Republicans and my mom's side being Democrats, it's a long time taboo to discuss at family get togethers.
Only my sister and I can discuss politics since we are both independents and moderates, though with some conservative leanings.
So I completely understand what you mean by not discussing politics with family. My family was already like that since long before BO.

you're so wise Sugar.
thx for the news of Hillary. the Sarah haters are pretending she just swallowed the crap & moved on like the grownup Sarah INSN'T. they don't acknowledge the monetary cost of fighting smears. Hillary was in deep debt. i hope Sarah gets the funding required to flush the pigs out. i'll be around to kick them when she does. would be nice if she ran 3rd party with another woman.

raging, my favorite fantasy is that Palin and both Clintons will tell the Dems and Repubs to stick it and then start a viable third party.

Hola peeps! I'm sorry I've been so inconsistent. I'm sorry I haven't been visiting your sites regularly and etc., etc. etc. I'm in grad school and it's been kicking my rump. I only just submitted the final project for my summer I class and now I'm about to hit the hay.
Krazy, I'm glad to hear from you!!! I actually miss doing the little radio show, but I haven't had the time. I don't even get to listen to all of my podcasts of my favorite shows as much as I used to because I've been so swamped. My summer II class is just writing...I hope those aren't going to be words that I'll eat, "just writing" lol, so it shouldn't be quite as demanding as this first summer class.
Anyway, please know that I am still doing my best to stay informed and I will do my own little part to keep needling away at this bogus administration.
CB, you are right about those scripts. It's really sad what we are all enduring and getting ready to face with an even bigger impact under this farce.
Oh, I listen to the Michael Savage show everyday. His podcast is the one that I do try to make sure I fit in and I first heard him call Obama Maobama. Hilarious. He called him Mao Se Bama on Monday. lmao
Anyway, I hope you all are having a great summer despite all of the madness. Stay safe...

What's up??? All of the good bloggers are vanishing!!!

I don't know if you have this site yet? It's a great place to read the facts and chat.

I've been over there for a few days now and it's hot! I'm glad you agree with me about Sarah's move.
Be well Sugar!
Hugs at cha!

I love your blog Sugar, and have been your fan for some time. However, I think a lot of Americans are tiring of the politics in general, and blogs are no exception. You used to have many good topics on here, with politics being one of many good topics. The politics has become the dominent theme there for a long time now.
It's your blog, but I hope you'll get back to covering a wide range of topics again. When you have time of course, I realize you're super busy this summer.
On a fun note, "grad school and it's been kicking my rump" is understandable, and admirable for you doing it. However, imagine how much more fun that would read if grad school was spanking your bottom. ;-)
Muahahaha.
