I intended to write about this on Wednesday, but I didn't get a chance. If you haven't heard or if you haven't picked up a copy yet, head to your nearest bookstore and grab a copy of the August 3rd issue of the New Yorker magazine, which features a wonderful article on radio talkshow host Michael Savage.
I've written about Savage once or twice here before and the response from readers has not been the greatest, but as I said then, I listen to his show every day. I have since probably December and I haven't heard a thing that has made me think he's a bigot or a racist or any of those things. He has his views on homosexual marriages and the like, but isn't he entitled to his opinions? I mean, good grief. He hasn't said that anyone needs to hauled out and shot. We get to a very sticky place in this country when we are ready to throw someone to the wolves simply because they don't agree with what we think they should...Anyway, Kelefa Sanneh, a black writer, did the profile on Savage and I have to say--I love it. I bought my copy from Borders and I will forever cherish it because it is so absolutely bizarre to witness the way Savage has been blackballed in the industry. But, despite that, he has at least one power player on his side (God?) because try as they might, the thugs haven't been able to hold him down. He just keeps getting right back up. Kind of like Rocky when Drago was putting a beating on him (why is that movie in my mind so much lately?).
I haven't weighed in on the Henry Louis Gates situation here at the blog, but I will admit that I rushed to judgment in the very beginning. I thought that the cop was a racist, but after hearing all of the facts (Good thing I'm not the gotdamn president of the United States. Had I made that rush to judgment as POTUS, only to have to recant, that would have been really, really bad....whoops) I now know, as I'm loathe to admit--Henry Louis Gates is a fool and a bit of a con man. I'm even hoping that he's not abusing prescription drugs what with the way he was so aggressive with Officer Crowley...I'm just saying......
Now, check out this awesome, awesome video on YouTube from Hannity's Show that wraps up Obama's six months thus far in office. Let me give you a hint--they equal FAIL. --SUGAR
Out of the heart, the mouth speaks. California senator Barbara Boxer deserves to have her ass whooped after what she did to the CEO of the Black Chamber of Commerce. I'm so disgusted I don't know where to begin. I watched the video earlier today, but watching it again just now only made me pissed anew and more angry than when I watched it earlier today.
Mister Harry C. Alford, the CEO of the National Black Chamber of Commerce, was testifying before a senate committee on green jobs when Boxer decided she'd better let him know why he needs to be agreeing with her. As in, these black groups agree, so you should be too--darkie. Mr. Alford wasn't having it and I commend the brother for letting Barbara Boxer know how he felt. I would have been just as pissed as him and would have reacted the same way.
You see, this is what happened during the election season of 2008. What I tried to describe so many times here at this blog about whites who gave me "the look" when I said I didn't support Obama. Oh, it's always there. It doesn't matter about which party they come from. If a white person has it sewn up in their heart, the belief deep down that they are better than people of color, they treat each of us in a certain way. A way that would lead to an ass whooping in the right circumstances. I tried to tell so many of my African-American friends and family that they were being played for fools by white folks running around chasing Obama like he was the second coming of Christ. Barbara Boxer just played it all out right before the eyes of anyone who cares to watch. Bottom line? There is no shortage of racists in the democratic party. Don't be a damn fool and believe otherwise.
Check her out in action below and watch Mr. Alford nearly come out of his seat! lol If he were my husband, he was getting the royal treatment for real that night for letting that cock-sucking beotch know what time it is. How could you resist a man so in control of his respect quotient? --SUGAR
I know. I know. I've been horrible about updating this blog since the great con of 2008, but I just feel so disgusted (Yes, still. Kick rocks if you don't like it!) that I can't find the energy to talk about all of the foibles that this idiot is getting us into from one day to the next. I keep a close watch on the Druge Report and network affiliates here in the DC metro area to stay informed but that's about it. Oh, and Twitter. That's all I need. I sometimes take a peek at what's on Fox News, but to be honest with you, Greta is about all I can stomach at this point. Hannity is fine, but he's on his same old schtick and it's tiresome. Michael Savage never gets old to me. Love him!
Sometimes when I'm at work, Obots will get to bumping their gums about how they are so pleased with everything that Dear Leader is doing and I carefully and calculatingly make my rebuttal. They always look at me with this puzzled look as if to say, "something isn't quite right about what this chick is saying," but because I'm so "pro-Black" on everything else, they can't bring themselves to believe that I'm against Obama. Ha! Loves it! You'd be surprised how well it works because usually by the end of those conversations, my soothing tone, this million dollar smile and all of my cunning and wits, they all start saying, "well yeah, you do have a point." Fools. All of them.
I can get Pastor Manning's videos on my cell phone now with no problem, and he's always good for a bit of insight and a good laugh at the same time. So, what I'm getting at friends is, keep yourselves informed, but don't work yourselves to death now. We'll have PLENTY of work to do when we get closer to the next election. Sarah Palin's move a couple of weeks ago ensures that we'll all be black and blue before the next election season really gets cracking if we aren't careful.
Have any of you purchased Larry Sinclair's book?! I think I want a copy, but I really don't want to order it in my own name! Maybe I'll order a copy directly from Larry myself. I don't know, but I hope it does well. I for one, believe his story. Obama has proven himself a liar and a con artist and a no-count in so many other areas of his life, why should we believe that none of the things that Larry has claimed are true? I believe him.
Anyway, I'm getting tired. Need to watch one more episode of Kings and then I'm going to try to get in the bed a little earlier than normal. Be forever fair! --SUGAR
I have my gripes about this great nation just like most of us have at some time or another, but I can't think of a single solitary place I'd like to live more. Sure, I love to travel and there are many more places I'd love to visit, but this is where I want to live. Period. So, happy birthday America and God bless those troops who have willingly decided to defend this nation against all enemies, both foreign and domestic.
This year has been crazy, no? Yesterday's announcement from Alaska Governor Sarah Palin absolutely blew my mind. Very gutsy move and just what she'll need to go up against the thuggery of Obama and those bastards pulling his strings. I wonder what the next presidential election is going to look like? A bloodbath comes to mind. @Crys2101 said to me on Twitter.com yesterday that she's hearing that Hillary is not happy at all serving Dear Leader. Who'da thunk it? If she decides to get off of the Titanic's mother, and run again, the next election is going to blow us all away. I told @Crys2101 that Palin made her move now so that she could start training for the big fight, like Rocky vs. Ivan Drago. Obama, like Drago did Apollo Creed, beat up on Hillary mercilessly. Like a big, non-American citizenship having, bully. Palin won't have the things holding her back that Hillary did, so it should be quite a sight to see. I can't wait.
I want Obama to be a bad nightmare. I really do, but he's here. Screwing things up left and right and we have our family and friends who voted for him to thank for it. Some of them are starting to realize the mistake that they made in voting for him, but others are still holding firm. Just can't admit that they were wrong. We'll all have to pay the price for that purchase together and it's just so unfair.
Anyway, I hope you have a great day and I hope you stay safe. Don't allow yourself to get pulled into a silly argument about Maobama during your get togethers today either okay? It's not worth it. I've decided that from now on I'm going to tell my family that I don't want to discuss politics while we are trying to have a nice time together. There'll be plenty time to do that later. --SUGAR
